(The history of the Federal Reserve is related to that of a powerful finance cartel whose operations explain much of the world's history since it came into being with the creation of the Bank of England.)

The Federal Reserve is the central bank of the United States of America. It is not Federal, and there is nothing in reserve. The main purpose of the central banks is to make possible fractional reserve banking, by which means banks can make profits by charging interest on money that they don't actually have.
