John Perkins is the author of Confessions of an Economic Hitman and The Secret History of the American Empire.

• In the late 1960's Mr Perkins was recruited through family by the NSA and was hooked into 'the business'. He subsequently worked for the company Chas. T Main, an engineering firm and visited many 3rd world countries under the guise of his business to actually sell 'privatisation' to the leaders of those countries.
