Talk:Al Qaeda

From What Really Happened Wiki

Largest air-strike of the Iraq war to date reportedly took place on "al-Qaeda" target just north of the "Green zone" yesterday 1/10/2008. Prior to invasion, American intelligence agencies confirmed that al-Qaeda cells were not known to be located inside Iraq (ref), nor even had much affiliation with Saddam's government (ref). Yet the implication is that years into the US invasion and approximately 1 year after the recently successful "surge" al-Qaeda had enough of a stronghold at this location to warrant 40,000 pounds of explosives.

More than likely these are local insurgents that have been conveniently branded into membership with al-Qaeda without merit, but with the intent to justify forceful action/execution of what would otherwise be considered "civilian" entities (albeit likely hostile civilians).

Some Comments of the above post

Well given the ignorance of the author it is hardly surprising that the conclusions reached above are as facile as they are bankrupt of all logic.

The arguments raised above would perhaps have had some semblance of a sensible argument except that the author is highly selective. If Al Qaeda is simply a construct of the CIA, Mossad and MI6 and only operates where there are oil interests then how does this explain its operations in Kenya, Tanzania and Somalia or indeed Afghanistan. How does the author explain some of the worst terrorist attrocities taking place in countries without any oil at all or any substantive natural resources?

The evidence regarding Al Qaeda and similar organisations is that the war they are conducting is principally an internal conflict concerning Islam and one that spills over into attacks on the West from time to time. By far the greatest death toll has been among muslims themselves.

If you are going to post such drivel, at least apply some rigorous scrutiny to source information and back it up with some facts.

Reply to comments (not from author) The post is very valid, most big "Al Qaeda" terrorist strikes have been proven beyond reasonable doubt to be largely the work of western intelligence agencies (see 9/11, 7/7, Madrid bombing, ...) It is possible and even likely that "Al Qaeda" has members who believe they're fighting for Islam, or their preferred faction of Islam, and it is even possible that those members carry out some smaller terrorist strikes by themselves, without consulting the leaders they don't even know about. But it is undeniable that Al Qaeda has its roots and its control in western intelligence.

"Al Qaeda" is not only about oil, it also works for general political interest -- e.g. Kenya, Tanzania and Somalia all rejected a US suggestion that they host the US military AFRICOM operation, to establish a permanent headquarter for US military operations in Africa. "Al Qaeda" activity there was meant to show the respective governments that there is terrorist activity going on in their homes, and they need the biggest terrorist of all to effectively combat it, making a strong point for AFRICOM.

Also, various random terrorist strikes (e.g. suicide bombings in Afghanistan and Iraq) tend to be blamed on "Al Qaeda" by the mainstream media, in order to keep the fabricated enemy alive and scare the people into accepting dictatorship and unjustified wars out of the scare of being the next victim of the big terrorist network that doesn't actually exist.

First i had to remove some slanderous lies before moving your comment to this discussion page.

Then let me just add that the blame is on corruption rather than the whole of the western intelligence agencies
