The United States Ship LIBERTY AGTR-5 was a spy ship on routine patrol in the Mediterranean. On June 8, 1967, it, its officers and men were brutally and without provocation, attacked by the nation of Israel. The purpose of the false flag attack by Israel was to trick the Americans into thinking that they had been attacked by Egypt thus drawing the American's into the then in progress Six-Day war on Israel's side.
Thirty-four Americans were killed and 174 were wounded.
